Dripping (2013 rev. 2019)
for tenor saxophone, live electronics
Dripping is a song inspired by one of the most distinctive techniques of the artistic production of Jackson Pollock. The artworks of the American painter are the result of a combination of controllable and uncontrollable factors. The music explores this delicate balance, transferring the gestures of the performer on an imaginary electronic canvas.
Premiered on 30/11/2013, XIX Stage Internazionale del Saxofono, Fermo (ver. 2013). Recorded on 03/01/2020 and included in “Soundscapes of the 21st Century” CD (ver.2019). Performers: Isabella Fabbri (tenor saxophone), Lorenzo Meo (live electronics).
