  • Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia
    The Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia is one of the oldest musical institutions in the world. Officially founded in 1585, it has evolved over the centuries from an organization of largely "local" musicians to a modern academy and symphonic concert organization of international repute.

  • International Composing Competition "2 Agosto"
    The International Composing Competition "2 Agosto" was born in 1994 by the willingness of the "Associazione tra i familiari delle vittime della strage alla Stazione di Bologna del 2 Agosto 1980". Torquato Secci, the Chairman of the Associazione in those years, conceived the music as the more suitable instrument able to maintain alive both the victims' memory of that infamous act, and the lesson that we all should have learnt from that event. It was necessary to respond to that crime with an autonomous and creative action, that is why the composing competition was born, in order to change the target of the terrorist message, to transform its substance and to overreach the mere commemoration. Music should substitute the din of the bomb.

  • Ferrara Musica
    The excellence of the artistic programming, the devotion of the public, the praise of critics, and the consistent attention of the international media has made Ferrara Musica one of the most important cultural instiutions of Italy.
    Ferrara Musica was created in 1989 by its honorary president Claudio Abbado.

  • Maggio Fiorentino
    Music has always had a fundamental role in the artistic life of Florence, where, at the end of the sixteenth century, the very first operas were performed, following the theory and practice of the Camerata dei Bardi. Today the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the centre of musical life in Florence, is based at Teatro Comunale, and produces the Maggio Musicale Festival - together with Bayreuth and Salzburg, the oldest, important European music festival - as well as its annual concert, opera and ballet seasons.

  • Centro Tempo Reale
    Centro Tempo Reale was founded by Luciano Berio in 1987 with the purpose of undertaking "activities of musical research, production, and education, the promotion of musical culture, the organization of training and advanced courses in music in accordance with the Association's objectives", as well as promoting "contacts with other cultural centers, musical and otherwise, in Italy and abroad."
